First, enter your school

Start typing the name of any South Carolina public school below and pick it from the list. We'll show you exactly where it ranks compared to other schools nearby, how it stacks up against the district and state — and the option to plug in your own child's scores (SC READY for grades 3–8, End-of-Course grades for high school) to see exactly where they'd stand.

👆 Begin typing, then choose your school from the dropdown that appears.

💡 Tip: Click any school pin for details. From the pop-up, hit + Add to compare on 2–4 schools to see them side by side.

Each pin is one of South Carolina's 1,308 public schools, placed at the center of its ZIP code. Color shows the school's 2024-25 overall rating. Schools in the same ZIP are spread slightly so they don't overlap.

Does poverty have to mean low performance?

Each dot is one South Carolina school. The horizontal axis is the school's poverty index — the share of its students living in poverty. The vertical axis is its overall report-card score. Dot color is the school's rating. Hover any dot to see the school.

About this data: Poverty index and overall score are taken directly from each school's 2024-25 South Carolina School Report Card. The poverty index is the percentage of a school's students identified as living in poverty; the overall score is the report card's 0–100 accountability index. Each rated school is plotted as one dot. Per-pupil spending by district is not part of the report-card file and is not shown here.
